Master Blaster Trio pays tribute to the music of Stevie Wonder and other songs of the jazz/pop/funk canon. The group features some of Northeast Florida's best jazz musicians; Danielle Eva on vocals (Billie Holiday Competition winner and T. Monk Institute's Jazz Aspen scholarship recipient), Aaron Lehrian on keys (2014 International Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition winner), and UNF's rising star John Medico on drums.The group hosts a weekly residency at St. Augustine's Prohibition Kitchen and was the featured finale group of 2018's New Smyrna Beach Jazz Festival. This band can also grow to 5 members featuring bass and trumpeter Ray Callender.
The Danielle Eva Jazz Shebang is based in North East Florida, featuring Danielle Eva on vocals and various musicians. The music spans several decades of classic jazz repertoire and includes arrangements of songs from The Great American Songbook, well-loved pop classics of soul, motown or folk, as well as original tunes with a contemporary jazz feel.
